The Department of Music at Texas A&M University-Commerce seeks highly qualified applicants for a non-tenure track, Assistant Professional Track Faculty position in applied voice, to begin in August of 2019.
Major/Essential Duties of Job:
Teach graduate and undergraduate applied voice lessons and courses in diction (1 course for each language, Italian, English, German and French).
Advise students assigned by studio.

Required Education and Experience:
Doctoral degree in Music required.
Evidence of success as an applied teacher and performer, including significant performances in solo recital, opera and/or musical theatre productions and/or in professional choral ensembles.
Evidence of experience recruiting quality vocal majors, advising and retaining students.
The position requires the ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Previous successful experience teaching at the high school level, either through classroom or applied voice instruction.
Previous experience teaching at the collegiate level.
