Days and Hours: AY: M-F 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; SMR: M-R 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.*
This is an anticipated opening for a full time, 12-month teaching administrator's position supporting the Audio Production and Music Recording programs. Responsibilities include both teaching and administrative duties.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONSINCLUDE: 1.Maintain a teaching load of 12 contact hours per semester/ 24 contact hours per academic year. 2.When conducting classes: a.Conduct classes as scheduled. b.Process grades as scheduled. c.Start class on time and conduct class for the fully scheduled time period. d.Provide students with a written statement of course requirements and expectations that shall include the attendance and grading policy, course objectives, and a course outline. e.Retain all credit course documentation for a period of not less than three (3) years upon the completion of the course. f.Observe the approved Departmental Master Syllabi. 3.Maintain at least four (4) open office hours per week for student appointments and assistance. 4.Prepare and maintain Perkins-CTE equipment purchases and inventory. 5.Advise audio production and music recording students. 6.Oversee audio equipment and computer hardware/software. 7.Assess and manage repairs of audio equipment. 8.Manage audio internships. 9.Establish and maintain partnerships with local schools and businesses. 10.Manage open recording studio hours for audio students. 11.Assist in course and program assessment activities. 12.Participate in academic advisement and Open House activities. 13.Attend monthly Department, Division and Faculty Assembly meetings. 14.Attend all appropriate in-service and/or orientation functions, and commencement. 15.Comply with all safety, fire and smoking regulations. 16.Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources. 17.Perform all other duties as assigned.
1.Bachelor's degree in music or audio production (Master's degree preferred). 2.Evidence of community college teaching experience. 3.At least five years of relevant experience in the audio production field.
