Reporting to the University Arenas Assistant Director for Ticketing, Sales, and Brand Advancement, and working very closely with the Sales and Service Manager, the Brand Advancement Manager provides the vision and leadership in the areas of brand advancement, marketing, creative content, fan engagement, and in-game entertainment programming. They will be responsible for strategically creating, developing, and implementing marketing campaigns for both on-campus and off-campus audiences through advertising and promotional initiatives to increase awareness and attendance, engage students, and enhance customer experience. The successful person will oversee and drive the creative needs, including advertising collateral, venue signage, and in-game content for University Arenas and its partners. They will also, in coordination with RIT Hockey and RIT Athletics, solidify and advance the brand of the RIT Men's and Women's Hockey programs.
The Manager is also tasked with game management, and in-game entertainment and promotions. While partnering with various levels of personnel within the areas of Athletics, Campus Life, Production services, and Venue Operations, they develop, create, and coordinate all fan experience and game operations to include writing game timelines, protocols, scripts, and public announcements; while also managing and staffing in-game music and promotional activities.
Major responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Creates, budgets, implements, and manages RIT Hockey marketing campaigns for both on-campus and off-campus audiences.
Negotiates and buys all advertising space, and coordinates design and production of ads (print, radio, tv).
Drives and approves all graphic design work for marketing collateral, interior venue signage, and Box Office ticketing.
Tracks. analyzes, and reports on performance and effectiveness of campaign strategies used.
Manages content and branding of the University Arenas website, RIT Ticketing website, and University Arenas' social media accounts.
Write, distribute, and monitor all game timelines, protocols, scripts, and public announcements.
Coordinate and manage the interactions and content of the Public Announcer, RIT Pep Band, DJ, Video Board Operator, and Ice Operations for best fan experience possible.
Determine, implement, and oversee pre-game, in-game, and post-game promotional events, fan entertainment, and staffing.
Hire, train, supervise, assign work, and evaluate student staff promotions team.
Hire, manage, and direct in-game music DJ and staffing.
Creates and manages fan loyalty programs (Kids' Club, Fan Loyalty Points, etc.).
Budgets, selects, and purchases all promotional giveaways.
