EHS is seeking a full-time Director of Theater Arts to begin in the 2020-21 school year. Three or more years of professional experience and a master’s degree in theater arts, or a related field, are preferred. The Director of Theater Arts will be responsible for the production of two seasons of plays in a 110-seat black box theater, and a main-stage winter musical. The Director will also be responsible for teaching up to three courses in acting and/or English. A background in theater history is helpful. Among the desired skills are knowledge of acting styles and coaching, design, directing, and video/film production. Dorm duty and/or other attendant responsibilities of full-time faculty in a boarding school environment may apply.
