We are seeking a motivated and energetic Festival Manager for our Prague Summer Nights: Young Artists Music Festival and Operations Manager for Concert Tours. Classical Movements’ Prague Summer Nights: Young Artists Music Festival (PSN) affords aspiring young professionals in the world of opera and orchestra the opportunity to perform in some of Europe’s most historic venues and offers fully-staged opera productions, orchestral performances, chamber music concerts, an opera scenes program, voice and concerto competitions, and even a cabaret concert.
The 30-day festival features up to 15 performances, coachings, masterclasses, lessons, and career development opportunities for its participants. Past programs have featured performances in the famed Estates Theatre, Rudolfinum, and Smetana Hall of Prague and, in 2017, the program made its first trip to Salzburg, performing in the Große Saal of the Mozarteum. Responsible for the logistical and operational management of the festival including recruitment, program operations, guest artist liaison, production and stage coordination, marketing and social media coordination, ticket sales and other tasks.
Also responsible for international and domestic group concert tours (as time permits) including the planning, implementation and management of tours, itineraries, schedules, budgets, air arrangements, ground transportation, hotel accommodations, meals, sightseeing, instruments, cargo, entry and exit requirements, travel insurance, tour directors and guides, concerts and promotion, workshops and masterclasses, outreach and other services.

Travel experience, opera, classical choral and orchestral music background, and foreign languages are preferred but not required. Some travel is required. Required to work in our Alexandria, VA office. Bachelor’s degree is required. 5+ years of experience is preferred.
