This is a 9-month full time position as a Collaborative Pianist (Accompanist) – Dance and Musical Theatre at East Carolina University's School of Theatre and Dance (NAST accredited), serving a well-established, rigorous BFA programs in Musical Theatre and Dance. This position primarily provides critical services for the BFA Theatre Arts Musical Theatre Degree, the BFA Dance Performance Degree, and the co-curricular production mission of the School of Theatre and Dance ECU/Leossin Playhouse and Dance Theatre. This includes providing skillful musical support for ECU/Loessin Playhouse mainstage season musicals, serving as the accompanist for Musical theatre classes, vocal lessons, studio performance classes (the Archie Burnett Studio Theatre productions) during the academic year, and dance classes in ballet/modern. This position may be required to teach up to one course per semester in the identified area of strength and experience.

Masters degree in music or related field is required. In addition, qualified applicants must have at least three years experience in playing for all styles of musical theatre repertoire, excellent sight-reading skills, and substantial experience in accompanying for dance and/or musical theatre productions at the university or professional level.
