Summary: The Theatre program in the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance at Grand Valley State University invites applications for a Visiting Faculty position to begin August 2020. This is a non-tenure track one-year appointment, with the possibility of renewal for up to 3 years.
Required Qualifications and Education:
Candidates will hold a Masters degree or terminal degree in theatre. ABD acceptable.
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
MFA in Directing or Acting. Specialization in directing, stage voice, and stage movement, and experience with musical theatre preferred
Responsibilities – Essential Functions:
Duties include teaching a 12 credit/12credit load that may include directing mainstage productions. Courses to be taught include acting (all levels) and other performance classes, introduction to theatre, and other classes within the theatre curriculum. Possibilities exist to teach courses in candidate's specialty areas, and to direct/teach in the University’s professional-level Shakespeare Festival.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
