Full-time lecturer position in music technology at Washington University in St. Louis. We are seeking a creative individual who can contribute to our growing music program by developing courses in music technology, including an undergraduate course sequence that will cover topics such as audio production, studio recording, MIDI sequencing, computer music programming, signal processing, the history of electronic music, and songwriting. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing, maintaining, and expanding the department’s computer lab and vintage analog synthesizer lab (ARP 2500, ARP 2600, Buchla, Moog modular, etc.), in collaboration with other faculty in music cognition, composition, and improvisation.
PhD, DMA, or MFA, earned before the start of the Fall 2021 semester.
Experience with synthesizers, current digital audio workstations, and other relevant software and hardware.
