Associates degree in Theatre or in a related field required. Three years related experience. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered. Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties: This full-time staff member, working primarily in the Department of Theatre and Musical Theatre, serves as a member of the College of Arts and Media production team. The purpose of the position is to provide support for all scene shop builds, supervision of student crew and technical theatre duties (including backstage operations), and coordinated production support for events in dance, opera, and film as needed. Must be student-focused and committed to collaborative production assignments and process. Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only): Serve as a member of the College of Arts and Media production team. Assist with the supervision of the scene shop, scenic construction, and backstage operations, including supervision of student crews. Provide instruction for the safe use of all equipment and maintain stock scenery and equipment inventory. Assist in the maintenance of the University Theatre Centre (UTC) and the Gaertner Performing Arts Center (GPAC) facilities. Work with the CAM production team to support production activities across the college as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. |
