Job Description Summary: #RPM Teaching faculty at Guilford Technical Community College are responsible for supporting student success by creating an optimum learning environment, responding to student needs, managing effective instructional activities, developing curriculum courses, modeling employability skills, demonstrating professionalism, developing cooperative work relationships with other faculty and staff, supporting college administrative requirements, and maintaining competency in their instructional field. He/she will be responsible for quality instruction and for effective participation and interest in the total affairs of the college. The Division of Business, Creative & Performing Arts seeks an energetic, enthusiastic, and collaborative entertainment business instructor with significant industry experience to join our team. Under general supervision, this individual will prepare and teach courses designed to support career technical programs to include introductory entertainment business courses and possibly music courses. These would include artist management, concert venue management and production, music publishing and copyright, record production and distribution, audio products and services, entertainment law, and music appreciation. The ideal candidate should be inclusive, knowledgeable, and articulate in historical and contemporary issues of entertainment business, and related fields and committed to working constructively with all facets of growing an entertainment program within a community college setting.
