The PRCA Superintendent (Fraze) is responsible for the operations, staffing, review and approval of seasonal entertainment booked by the talent buyer; special events; festival programming; customer service; promotion and sponsorship; and the $4 million annual budget of the Fraze Pavilion Amphitheatre. Additionally, the Superintendent supervises and schedules contractual technical support staff, catering and contracted technical services; supervises 3 full-time employees and oversees approximately 250+ seasonal staff and 15+ year round temporary part time staff. This position is responsible for the operation of FanFare (store front ticket office), Fraze box office, and food and beverage operations and requires self-motivation, strong personnel, financial management and leadership skills and must be well versed in the entertainment industry. The Superintendent develops and seeks sponsorships and is responsible for the promotion, social media and marketing for entertainers and events, including various contractual agreements with design firms and local media outlets and must possess strong financial, organizational, administrative, customer service and public speaking skills and have experience creating and executing marketing, promotion and sponsorship plans. This position reports directly to the Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts.
Extensive knowledge of the music and entertainment industry, plus knowledge with the technical procedures for stage and sound production. Excellent organizational, financial, customer service and supervisory skills. Public speaking ability and written expression necessary. Self-motivator. Some sponsorship and marketing experience necessary. Must be able to work well under pressure and maintain composure.
A Bachelor degree in Management Arts Administration and or other related field from an accredited college or university is desirable, Master degree preferred. Five years of administrative experience in an amphitheater or theater facility required or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
