Professor of Practice – Musical Theatre Voice/Music Direction/Collaborative Pianist
The Department of Theatre & Dance at Auburn University invites applications for an appointment as Professor of Practice of Musical Theatre, beginning in the fall of 2023.
This is a nine-month, non-tenure track, full-time teaching faculty position in the AU Musical Theatre BFA program. The position may be renewed annually and is essential to the operation of our department and production season. The successful candidate will join the faculty of a strong B.A./B.F.A., National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST) accredited, undergraduate department within the College of Liberal Arts. Responsibilities include musical direction of at least one departmental musical a semester, applied voice lessons with between 10 and 15 students a semester, active participation in the production process, advising on music theatre repertoire, co-teaching a musical theatre acting course on occasion, and providing accompaniment for departmental classes, showcases, auditions, musical theatre production rehearsals, and performances.

Competitive salary (range of $60,000-$70,000) and benefits, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Starting date will be August 16, 2023.
