Summary Position The administrative assistant provides the highest-level administrative support, in a high energy, fast-paced environment, to the dean of the school of health sciences. The administrative assistant works cooperatively with the dean and members of the school of health sciences leadership team to carry out the school's mission, strategic goals, and objectives as part of the overall university mission. This position utilizes one's skills to ensure efficient operation within the division and across the campus community.

Education Requirements Bachelors degree in business or relatable health sciences field a must.

The administrative assistant works cooperatively with the dean and members of the school of health sciences leadership team to carry out the schools mission, strategic goals, and objectives as part of the overall university mission. This position utilizes ones skills to ensure efficient operation within the division and across the campus community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Administrative Responsibilities
Provide support to the dean
Draft, edit, and maintain correspondence including emails, memos, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
Manage calendar and time for the dean including meetings, appointments, speaking engagements, travel arrangements, etc.
Interact professionally with the provost and other members of senior staff, their teams, and other internal university stakeholders as well as external stakeholders
Accompany the dean to meetings or events when needed, to support workflow
Assist with accreditation for the various programs as needed
Office Management
Manage office flow and welcome and assist all visitors and guests
Triage phone calls as needed
Manage the school of health sciences website and social media
Facilitate information and paperwork needing approval to the dean from the various departments
Event Planning
Add support in the planning and scheduling of various school of health sciences events such as: white coat ceremony, pinning ceremony, graduation ceremonies, etc.
Manage the school of health sciences online events calendar
Create schedule of meetings and agendas. Coordinate and record minutes.
Contribute to provost office events as needed
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in related field is required.
Significant and substantial directly related experience working with senior leadership or equivalent is required.
Significant experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products including; Word, Excel, Access, Outlook is required as well as willingness to learn new software programs
Experience with databases, generating reports, memo/letter writing, use of course management systems, and experience in web page editing and project/event management will be preferred.
