Carnegie Mellon School of Drama seeks an adjunct instructor to teach Theatrical Sound Systems Design, a two-semester intensive course exploring the theory, technology, and art of large-scale sound system design for entertainment, focusing specifically on musicals. This course is part of the curriculum for MFA and BFA students in Sound Design and Production Technology. Familiarity with Dante networking, EASE modeling, and SMAART analysis preferred.
Qualified individuals may also teach additional courses in Show Networking and micro-electronic controls in the context of entertainment production.
The position is Pittsburgh-based and begins August 2023.
Experience designing and engineering large-scale audio systems for theatrical production.
Knowledge of current audio technology and control techniques.
Familiarity with Dante networking, EASE modeling, and SMAART analysis preferred.
