The Michael C. Rockefeller Arts Center is the oldest and original multi-disciplinary arts center in the SUNY system. Comprising four performance venues and two art galleries, the center is home to over 130 performances and exhibits each season. Performances by the Fredonia School of Music and the Department of Theatre and Dance constitute much of the programming, with additional events presented and produced by student groups, community organizations and the center itself.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Rockerfeller Arts Center, the successful candidate will:
Oversee the functions of greeting, coat check, ticket scanning/taking, distributing printed programs, showing patrons to their seats, answering patron questions, assisting patrons with special needs, conducting beverage and show-related merchandise sales (if any);
Recruit, train, schedule supervise and evaluate approximately 10-14 student house managers and assistant house managers and a 60 to 90-member volunteer usher corps made up of students and community residents.
Ensure audience comfort and safety in compliance with ADA guidelines, the New York State Fire Code and any applicable Covid-19 or similar health and safety protocols.
Be aware of, understand, and follow all university policies.
This is a half-time, temporary position scheduled to start on Nov. 1, 2023, and expected to run through September 31, 2024. The annual salary range for this position is $22,187 - $25,000, commensurate with experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree;
Minimum two year's responsible work experience;
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively, and in a collegial and professional manner, with students, faculty, and staff;
Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and constituents in support of campus and department mission.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in performing arts, arts administration, public relations or related field;
One year's work experience in performing arts, arts administration, customer service, hospitality or related field;
Successful Experience training and/or supervising others;
