SYRACUSEUNIVERSITY – The Department of Drama, within the College of Visual and Performing Arts, a highly ranked BFA program uniquely integrated with a major regional theater, seeks to hire a Professor of Dance for its Musical Theater Program with expertise in traditional and contemporary theater dance forms, including, but not limited to, hip hop, street jazz, social dance styles and partnering. The department is actively seeking candidates who value equity and inclusion, who incorporate marginalized voices and perspectives into their pedagogy, and who have experience mentoring students and/or performers of diverse identities. We are looking for collaborative colleagues who will participate in the life of a vibrant department. Selected candidates will teach dance courses at all levels within the performance curriculum, and, depending upon expertise, may choreograph and/or direct departmental productions. Bachelor's degree plus additional preparation as demonstrated by significant professional experience at the highest level required.
