Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Achieves territory performance goals and generation of generates project opportunities that continually fill the sales funnel. • Partners closely with rep firms in coordinating efforts to maximize territory coverage, productivity, and minimize cost of doing business in each territory across the Unites States. • Works closely with regional manufacturer’s representative firm(s), integrators, background music providers (BGM), retailers, and distributors to grow existing business and expand into new sales channels. • Builds strong relationships with the parties that TOA has become and/or wishes to become a trusted advisor and resource thereby increasing the adoption of TOA solutions. • Supports the TOA’s key market approach in expanding and supporting the key markets for given regions with priority given to key dealers. • Sustaining TEI's core business in paging announcement and BGM segments, develops new sales channels for Audio Visual and Security and Life Safety segments including Mass Notification Systems and Large Scale General Purpose Paging Systems. • Champions new TOA products to ensure the success of new product launches. • Coordinates certification training programs to help establish a high level of technical excellence and dealer qualification, especially for engineered/systems-based solutions. Applicable to a select range of engineered products and systems. • Conduct in-person and web-based training programs for US reps, dealers, consultants, specifiers and end users related to the applications, selection, installation and operation of TOA products within the region. • RSM is a fulltime sales management position receiving both commission on territory sales and potential bonuses based on achieving quota in assigned territories.
Education and/or Experience :
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Comparable record of business development or marketing experience required.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Project Management software; Internet software [Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, etc.]; Spreadsheet software [MS Excel]; Word Processing software [MS Word]; and Presentation software [MS PowerPoint].
Domestic Travel may be required (up to 65%)
Valid driver’s license and no major driving violations.
