Royce Hall, a historic landmark completed in 1929, is a premier performaing arts venue managed by UCLA Theater Managment Services. Under the general supervision of the Venue Manager, this position provides technical support for our season of worldclass performances as well as other events scheduled in the venues T.M.S. services. Working hours include nights, weekends and occasional holidays and overtime. Works under the general supervision of the Production Manager and specific direction of the department's event-managers.

Extensive experience in theatrical, dance, and music production, including installing, moving, andstoring elements like carpentry, rigging, AV/sound, stage-drapery, dance floors, props, andoperating hand and power tools safely. (Required)
Able to perform event duties like walking, bending, climbing, pushing, and standing for extendedperiods. Must lift up to 65 lbs., handle noise, dust, drafts, heights, and work safely in low-lightenvironments. (Required)
Working knowledge of trade-related tools & materials following stage-safety procedures &precautions. Skill in safely operating common hand & power tools, jigs, and fixtures along withother trade-related tools and materials. (Required)
Working knowledge of safety precautions necessary when working at considerable heights, includingthe use of safety belts, fall-arrest, ladders, platforms, personnel-lifts, scaffolds, catwalks, loadingbridges, and theatrical-grids up to 75' above stage floor. (Required)
Excellent command of written and spoken English, with ability to convey information, verbally andin writing, in clear and accurate manner, unsing appropriate language, vocabulary, grammar andprofessionalism to explain procedures and resolve issues. (Required)
Able to work independently, prioritizing tasks with minimal supervision, meeting deadlines, andadapting to changing needs. Efficiently handles fluctuating workloads, competing requirements,conflicting deadlines, and frequent interruptions. (Required)
