THE POSITION: The Chemical Engineering Department at Rose-Hulman invites applications for a full-time visiting faculty position at a rank commensurate with experience with an anticipated start date of August 2023. The department offers a B.S. in Chemical Engineering which is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. We are looking for applicants with a strong commitment to undergraduate engineering education, including hands-on laboratory instruction.
Requirements include a doctorate or near completion in chemical engineering or closely related field. We are looking for candidates from all areas of chemical engineering who embrace the mission and vision of Rose-Hulman to join our collegial team of 11 faculty. The department and the institute place a high value on engaging students from traditionally underrepresented groups, and candidates from these groups are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates who can further broaden and enhance the educational experience of our students, especially with prior industrial experience, are also encouraged to apply.
The essential job responsibility is classroom and laboratory teaching of two to three courses per ten week quarter for the 2023-2024 academic year.
